Nissan on his first day in his forever home (but he didn’t know it then).
Hey Everyone!
There's never a bad time to start something new—so here we are with this forum/blog! 🎉
A little about us: My sister, Elaiza, and I (Eimee) began our journey with small animals thanks to a close friend who convinced us to foster a bunny from our local rabbit rescue. At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about adding another member to our small household of two. 😂 The thought of caring for another being was a little overwhelming. But my hesitation didn’t last long—my sister took the lead, picked up our first foster bun, and brought him home!
That’s how Mr. Nissan entered our lives. He was a bit shy at first but warmed up to us quickly. Looking back, I think the rescue couldn’t have chosen a better bunny for us! As the days passed, I got used to having Nissan around, and soon, he became one of my closest companions. At the time, I had just started university online and didn’t have many friends, so Nissan’s presence meant the world to me. He was adorable, super friendly, and incredibly affectionate!
One memory that still makes me laugh is when I sent a video to my sister, proudly showing how close Nissan and I had become. In reality, he was just inching toward me because I was holding a carrot in my mouth. 🤣 Not my proudest moment, but definitely a hilarious one to look back on!
But enough about Nissan and me—I’d love to hear your story! How did you start your journey with small animals (bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, chinchillas, or more)? Share your experience below! 💕
